Carl T. Rogers: Writer-Director

Howdy! My name is Carl, and I love movies! Writing, directing, and watching are my favorite things to do when it comes to film. I began in the cinema back in aught three making home movies at a young age and became interested in film in middle school. After I realized my pastime could become a career and passion, I started to learn about various aspects of production, eventually taking three professional internships through my high school years. My friend Gregory and I also began to make short comedy skits, which can be found today at Keywhole Entertainment.

I donned my cap and gown in 2011 and jointly received my Diploma with honors from Stanly Early College High School and an Associate of Arts degree from Stanly Community College. While in my senior year, I made my first attempt at a serious short film. It turned into a little flick called  Still Kickin‘, which I wrote, directed, and shot. It went on to be a Top 7 Finalist in the 2011 ReelDreams Film Competition and won Best Short at the 2011 Modern Film Fest.

Then I transferred to Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA, where I’m about to graduate with my B.A. in Cinema-Television. Each semester I’ve cumulatively learned more and more about the cinematic arts as well as about myself. My amusing antics (which became a part-time job) are viewable in my Regent Vlogs. I’ve had the honor to work on various student films in a lot of different roles, in addition to writing and directing my own projects. My Senior Thesis, Annabel Lee, is currently in post production, and will be entering the festival circuit soon.

The more I learn, the more I’m enabled to make entertaining and insightful art for the One who created me. Excelsior! Gregory Bartos: Co-Founder/CFO

Gregory got his B.S. in Marketing from Johnson and Wales University in 2011 and has been hard at work ever since, and is the owner of the consulting firm The G Agency. His knowledge of social media is unparalleled. He and I started DF way back in our Keywhole Entertainment era, where our antics are kept forever for your laughter and enjoyment. Plaid forever!
